Software Toolbox OmniServer
OmniServer is a powerful program you can configure to communicate with various devices that do not already have drivers written for them.
It can provide the resulting data to OPC UA and OPC DA Clients, as well as, Wonderware Suitelink Clients and DDE Clients or other applications
such as databases via Client Wedges.
OmniServer is a fully configurable I/O server which interprets the data coming in from a device and delivers
the data to any client program that supports the major information exchanges. OmniServer comes in three editions: Professional,
Server and Wedge
Professional Edition
Server Edition
Wedge Edition
OmniServer takes care of all the polling and data parsing for you, and does this without the use of a programming language.
All you need to know is how you want to present the data to the outside world.
The Works With section is a central reference section for the technical specifications of OmniServer such as
Operating System Support and Client Interfaces.
The Concepts behind OmniServer will give you an overview of
what OmniServer is, how it works, and how it can help you reduce the time and costs associated with writing custom drivers.
OmniServer Connectivity shows you the different type of devices
and clients for which OmniServer can communicate. Look here to discover if your application and/or device can use OmniServer to solve your
communication needs.
Testing with OmniServer is our final section that gives you an
overview of how to test your protocol and installation using the OmniServer diagnostic tools. These integrated tools provide an easy yet
powerful means to trouble shoot your protocol.
